[Lanhu Aquarium Engineering Project] Enjoy the romance of the stars | Kimpton Qiantan Hotel's acrylic starry sky swimming pool is completed.

The transparent starry sky swimming pool was specially designed and built by Lanhu Aquarium for the Kimpton InterContinental New Beach Hotel.

Located on the central axis of the Qiantan Riverfront area, the five-star Kimpton InterContinental Qiantan Hotel in Shanghai boasts stunning riverfront views and a vibrant green landscape.

Designed by KPF, the non-rectangular site presented a unique challenge for the designers. The designer designed a rooftop infinity pool on the top terrace and used elements such as palm trees to create a holiday atmosphere.

In their design, Lanhu leveraged the hotel's unique location, featuring riverside views and surrounding greenery, and drew inspiration from Van Gogh's "Starry Night," imbuing the space with an artistic touch, resulting in a unique transparent starry sky pool.

The transparent acrylic pool's greatest strength lies in its transparency, making it a perfect spot for viewing and relaxing. It allows visitors to swim freely in the water, feeling as if they were soaring through the air like a bird.

Acrylic boards offer excellent weather resistance, high surface hardness and gloss, and excellent high-temperature resistance.

The blend of blue and yellow ceramic mosaics creates a truly immersive starry sky, as if the pool's bottom were a vast, dotted landscape. Filling the pool with water creates an immersive experience.
