The Aquarium Restaurant is a place that did not always have an aquarium. In fact, it once was a home of very good Mexican fare. A big idea at the Old Post Office was hatched when Landry's Restaurants bought it in 2003. The owners intended to convert it into an aquarium restaurant, which could appeal to tourists visiting the nearby pier as a family-friendly stop or for customers who are passionate about marine life.
The Aquarium Restaurant offers you the unique experience of being able to eat surrounded by wonderful sea creatures. The tanks light up and you can view the sharks, stingrays all sorts of colorful fish swimming around in them.
